About an hour and a half away from Atlanta....... what??!! That short of a drive to Bavaria?? Well, maybe not completely, but you will certainly get a feeling of being in a different world!

You and the kids will enjoy plenty of time in Helen in the morning for shopping in the many specialty and import shops, offering everything from candle making and glass blowing to cuckoo clocks and quilts, and plenty of gift shops, including Betty's Country Store, a must-see, unique country store that'll stock your mini-fridge with eats from the past and present. Lots of things to see!!

If you are not interested in shopping, then we will take you for a half mile walk to the beautiful Anna Ruby waterfall! Listen to the sound of the cascading water, spot a rainbow trout in the creek, watch the birds play in the water and get mesmerized by the falling waters of this beautiful waterfall!

Lunch will be in Helen and the choices are plentiful! There are even several restaurants over looking the river.... the kids might get impatient looking at all the tubers coming down the river!! If they were not excited yet, they will certainly get excited now!

Make sure you bring sunscreen, water-shoes and dry clothes to change into! Because you will have a blast "Tubing the Hooch"! A fun family adventure, an afternoon floating down the Chattahoochee river on your tube!
