Spend
a great day of excitement and adventure in the North Georgia Mountains!
Have you ever
wondered what the life of a goldminer must have been during the Gold
Rush or what a goldmine looks like? Well here is a chance to learn
all about it! Make sure you wear comfortable shoes, because we are
going in a goldmine!! And of course after we have learned how the
goldminers struck it rich... we will try our luck!! The goldpanning
instructors will teach us how to do it and if you find gold you get
to keep it!
Next will be a
short visit to the quaint historic town of Dahlonega, where we will
have a little bit of time for a stroll around the square with it's
stores and restaurants. Make sure that you will have your lunch
here, so you will be ready for our afternoon adventure!!
The shallow
waters and very gentle rolling rapids, combined with the beautiful scenery
make the Chestatee river a perfect first time kayaking experience
for the whole family! Paddle solo or in a tandem boat. Listen to the
sounds of nature, maybe we will see turtles sunning on a log, a fish
jump out of the water, butterflies land on your boat! And you and
the kids will have
time to play in the water... very refreshing on a hot summer
day!!
Your guide for
the day is a Certified Tour Manager and Tour Guide, an experienced
kayaker, and an ex-camp director, who loves to share her knowledge about the nature you will
see and the history of the area with kids and adults! And she has an enthusiasm that is
contagious!!
