We
will start at the Madison Visitors Center
on the square. You will learn about the town's pre-Civil War and
Victorian architecture, and why General Sherman spared this town
on his march from Atlanta to the sea.

Next
on you will have a choice of a self-guided
walking tour through historic antebellum Madison or join
us on a wonderful narrated carriage tour.
The tour will include the history of downtown Madison,
Antebellum homes and the Madison Cemetery.

Lunch we
will enjoy at the Madison Chophouse Grille.
A favorite among visitors and locals, where you will have a
choice of favorites ranging from salads and chicken entrees, to
burgers and steaks. Sip on a glass of sweet tea and enjoy your
meal as you experience one of the most “happening”
restaurants in Madison.

After
lunch we will tour the Greek Revival home Heritage
Hall, also known as the Jones-Turnell-Manley House, of
importance for its architectural and historical significance and
its period furnishings.

The
remainder of the afternoon you can take a stroll through
downtown Madison and enjoy the many antique shops,
boutiques, gift shops and cafes surrounding the square in this
town voted “#1 Best Small Town in America.”
