Bike, hike and canoe where the Dutch like to vacation in their own county!
Join us for an incredible vacation in the Northern part of Holland! 
Leisurely ride bicycles, hike and canoe thru some of the most beautiful and some of  the diverse nature in Holland, the provinces of Groningen and Drenthe, areas were tourists hardly ever go, but certainly where the Dutch go! You will hear stories about the rich history and the people of this unique area. And you will mingle with the locals at the markets and cafe-restaurants in the quaint little towns that we ride thru. We will visit some unique places: a historic house built for a noble family in the 14th century, you will stand on a dyke and see the sea higher than the road...., we will visit an historic farmers town which now is an outdoors museum, a working historic windmill, a cheese farm and a museum about the 5000 year old graves known as Hunebedden, nowhere else found in the world! 

Of course we will have some city time!! A full day in Groningen, shopping at the local market and wonderful stores, a guided walking tour and nightlife (for those who wish to  enjoy this) in this city where there are over 500 cozy cafes and bars!! 

We will spend most of our nights in unique accommodations ranging from B&B's to small town hotels to historic farms now transformed into wonderful hotels, each with its own unique character. 

Your tour director, who now lives in the USA, still is a native! Her family and friends live here and she continues to visit the area numerous times a year, she has been taking groups here for an incredible vacation several times a year and she continues to find unique and interesting places and activities to share with visitors from other countries! She speaks the language fluently and knows the people and loves to share the local stories and the off the beaten path hidden gems!
