Spend a relaxing day in the North Georgia Mountains! On this tour you will take in the beautiful scenery of the Chestatee river while you are paddling or floating in your kayak or canoe! This is the perfect river for a first time kayak/canoe experience, shallow waters and very gentle rolling rapids. Paddle solo or in a tandem boat. You will have time to play in the water if you like and enjoy a sack lunch (provided) on the river. Make sure you bring a change of clothes so you will be comfortable for your tour of a local winery where you will have the opportunity to taste and purchase some wonderful local wines. To end the day, we will have dinner at the Crimson Moon Cafe in downtown historic Dahlonega, where the creative spirits shine!! If you like to share your singing talent, then you may take your turn on stage, like the wonderful local musicians and singers do on open mic nite, jazz jam or your favorite tunes from the 60's thru the 90's at the Tom and Julie Show!! Your guide for the day is a Certified Tour Manager and Tour Guide, an experienced kayaker, who loves to share her knowledge about the nature you will see and the history of the area and has an enthusiasm that is contagious!! We are sure that you will be most satisfied, relaxed and fulfilled after a day full of fun activities! Cost: $115 per person, max 11 people (boat/equipment rental, lunch and winery admission included, dinner and purchases at the Winery are not included) Leave Atlanta at 9am and return around 9pm (Shorter trip departure time and return time is flexible) Shorter day is possible, we will either skip the winery or dinner at the Crimson Moon.
